About Our Photography Sessions
Common questions about booking, pricing, and what to expect
We recommend booking 4-8 weeks in advance for most sessions, and 2-3 months for larger events like baby showers or bridal showers. Weekends fill up quickly, especially during spring and fall, so earlier is always better to secure your preferred date.
We're based in Cliffside Park, NJ and serve all of Bergen County including Fort Lee, Edgewater, Palisades Park, North Bergen, Englewood, Tenafly, and surrounding areas. We're happy to travel throughout Northern New Jersey for your event.
Most sessions are delivered within 2-3 weeks via a private online gallery. Larger events may take 3-4 weeks. Rush delivery is available for an additional fee if you need photos sooner.
Yes! All packages include a print release, so you can print your photos anywhere you'd like. We also offer professional printing services through our studio if you want gallery-quality prints, canvases, or albums.
We'll send you a detailed style guide after booking with recommendations tailored to your session type. Generally, solid colors in soft, complementary tones photograph beautifully. Avoid busy patterns and logos.
We monitor the weather closely and will reach out if conditions look unfavorable. We can reschedule to another day at no extra charge, or move to an indoor location if you prefer. Light overcast skies actually create beautiful, even lighting!
Yes, we offer flexible payment options. A deposit is required at booking to secure your date, with the remaining balance due before or on the day of your session. Contact us to discuss what works best for you.
Absolutely! We encourage you to share inspiration photos, Pinterest boards, or a shot list before your session. While we'll guide you through natural poses, we love incorporating your vision into the final collection.
Event Sessions
Event Sessions Questions
Baby showers, bridal showers, baptisms & christenings, birthdays, family celebrations, and more. Pretty much any celebration — if people are gathering to celebrate someone or something, I'm in.
It depends on your package, but you can expect anywhere from 40 to 125+ fully edited images. Every photo is carefully selected and edited—I don't hand off hundreds of near-identical shots. You'll get a tight, polished gallery with real variety.
Your gallery is typically delivered within four weeks of your event. For milestone occasions, I can often share a small preview set within 48 hours. I know how eager people are to share, and I don't drag my feet.
Yes—a 50% deposit is required to secure your date, with the remaining balance due before or on the day of the event. I hold dates on a first-come, first-served basis, so don't wait too long if you have a specific date in mind.
For weekend events, I recommend booking at least 4-6 weeks ahead. Popular dates around the holidays, spring, and fall book up fast. If your event is coming up quickly, reach out anyway—I'll always let you know if I'm available.
Not a problem. Additional coverage time can be added—just let me know ahead of time or ask on the day if you'd like me to stay. As long as my schedule allows, I'm happy to.
I arrive a few minutes early to get a feel for the space and light. From there I move through the room naturally, photographing guests, details, and all the big moments as they happen. I'm always watching, but I try never to be in the way. You won't feel like you're being followed around by a camera.
Yes—I photograph events at homes, restaurants, banquet halls, parks, and event spaces throughout Bergen County and the wider Northern NJ area, including Cliffside Park, Fort Lee, Edgewater, North Bergen, Hackensack, Teaneck, Englewood, and beyond. Travel fees may apply for locations outside this area.
Family Sessions
Family Sessions Questions
I promise, it happens all the time and I'm prepared for it! I don't expect kids to sit still and smile on command. We'll play games, take breaks, and let them be themselves. The best photos often come from the 'chaos'—real giggles, real tantrums, real life. Trust me, we'll get great shots.
Coordinate, don't match! Choose a color palette of 2-3 complementary colors. Solid colors photograph best—avoid busy patterns, logos, or graphics. Layers add visual interest. I'll send you a detailed styling guide after booking with specific suggestions based on your session location and season.
I love outdoor sessions during golden hour for that beautiful, warm light. Popular spots include Fort Lee Historic Park, Flat Rock Brook Nature Center, or even your own backyard. I'm also happy to do sessions at your home if you have young children who are more comfortable there.
Absolutely! Dogs (and cats, if they're adventurous) are welcome. Just bring treats, a leash, and maybe a helper to wrangle them between shots. Pet portraits are some of my favorites.
We'll reschedule! I monitor the weather closely and will reach out a few days before if conditions look unfavorable. Your session should be enjoyable, not stressful. Light overcast is actually great for photos—it's natural diffusion.
Your online gallery will be ready within four weeks of your session. Each image is individually edited for color, exposure, and light retouching. You'll receive a mix of portraits, candids, and detail shots.
My specialty is family lifestyle sessions with babies 3 months and older. For posed newborn photography (under 2 weeks), I recommend a specialist in newborn posing and safety. However, I'd love to capture your family once baby is a bit older!
I recommend at least once a year, especially when kids are young—they change so fast! Many families book annual sessions in the fall for holiday cards or in spring when everything is blooming. It's a wonderful tradition.
Maternity Sessions
Maternity Sessions Questions
The ideal time for your session is between 28-34 weeks pregnant, with 30-33 weeks being the sweet spot. Your bump is beautifully round and visible, but you're typically still comfortable enough to enjoy the session. Book as early as possible to secure your preferred date!
Flowy maxi dresses, form-fitting gowns, or even simple jeans with a beautiful top all photograph beautifully. Soft, solid colors like blush, ivory, sage, and earth tones work best. I'll send you a detailed styling guide after booking with specific recommendations.
Absolutely! I love including partners in maternity sessions. Reach out and I'll recommend the best option for including your partner or family.
This is so common—and exactly why professional maternity photos matter. My job is to pose you in the most flattering ways, find the perfect lighting, and capture your natural glow. Every mom who has felt this way has been amazed at how gorgeous their photos turned out.
I offer both outdoor and studio-style sessions. Popular outdoor locations include Fort Lee Historic Park, private gardens, and scenic spots along the Hudson River. I can also come to your home for intimate, lifestyle sessions. We'll choose the perfect setting for your vision.
We'll reschedule! I monitor the weather closely and will reach out if conditions look unfavorable. Your comfort and safety come first. Light overcast can actually create beautiful, soft lighting for maternity photos.
Yes! Sibling photos with mom's bump are absolutely precious. Kids do best earlier in the session when they're fresh, and I'm experienced at working with little ones. Let me know their ages so we can plan accordingly.
Yes! Many moms book maternity and baby shower sessions together. Reach out and I'll put together a bundle that works for your timeline and budget. It's a wonderful way to document your entire pregnancy journey.
Couples & Engagement
Couples & Engagement Questions
I recommend booking 3-6 months before you need the photos. This gives us flexibility with weather and ensures you have images ready for save-the-dates. Many couples book their engagement session when they book their wedding photography.
Coordinate without matching exactly. Solid colors photograph beautifully—avoid busy patterns or logos. Bring 1-2 outfit changes: one dressy, one casual. I'll send a detailed style guide after booking!
I use telephoto lenses and position myself at a distance where I'm not noticeable — blending into the crowd at a restaurant, hiding behind landscaping at a park, or stationed in a nearby area. We'll plan the exact positioning during our confidential planning call.
I'll help you choose! Popular Bergen County spots include Fort Lee Historic Park, Flat Rock Brook Nature Center, and downtown areas like Englewood. Or choose somewhere meaningful to your relationship.
Depending on your session, you'll receive 30-75+ professionally edited images. Every photo is carefully culled and edited—no duplicates or unflattering shots.
We'll reschedule! I monitor weather closely and will reach out a few days before if conditions look unfavorable. Your session should be enjoyable, not stressful.
Absolutely! Pets are family. Just let me know in advance so we can plan the session accordingly. Some locations may have restrictions, so we'll choose a pet-friendly spot.
Your online gallery will be ready within four weeks of your session. You'll receive an email with a private link to view, download, and share your images.
Portrait Sessions
Portrait Sessions Questions
Solid colors work best—navy, charcoal, black, or jewel tones. Avoid busy patterns, logos, or bright whites. Bring a few options and we'll decide together. For men, a well-fitted blazer or button-down works great. For women, a blouse or professional top with a neckline you're comfortable with.
Performer headshots are all about showing your range and type. Bring 2-3 looks that represent different characters you could play. We'll capture different expressions and energy levels. I recommend minimal jewelry and timeless clothing that won't date your photos.
Yes! All packages include professional retouching—skin smoothing, blemish removal, and color correction. I keep retouching natural; you'll still look like you, just the best version. Heavy editing (removing wrinkles, reshaping features) is available on request for an additional fee.
Standard delivery is within one week. Rush and same-day delivery options are available—just ask when booking.
You'll receive both high-resolution files (for print) and web-optimized files (for LinkedIn, websites, email signatures). All images come with a print release so you can use them anywhere.
Yes! I can come to your office for individual or team headshots. A travel fee applies within Bergen County. For corporate teams of 5+, I offer group discounts—contact me for a custom quote.
Every 2-3 years, or whenever your appearance changes significantly (new hairstyle, glasses, weight change). Your headshot should look like you—people shouldn't be surprised when they meet you in person!
